A common practice in the ancient times was to establish a nation's government in the name of the king, thereby the New Testament church was started by and under the authority of Jesus Christ. Remember, Isaiah 9:6-7 says" .. the government shall be upon His shoulder". This promise was given to the Jewish people at first, for no other nation at that time was the chosen people of God. Then after Calvary salvation was granted to the Gentiles as well, all by the grace of God and through the authority of the name of the heavenly King, Jesus Christ. Both types were to look out for her welfare. She was not to shame either by her appearance, most notably, the hair. This is a common sense issue, and one not to be debated. Just use the brain that God gave you. It is interesting to note that the circumcision was required in Jewish men but after the cross Peter and Paul had a big argument over this issue; Paul saying it was no longer a requirement; Peter back tracking and saying it was, after first saying it was not. The point is anything can be a debate of right or wrong. These are matters of contentions that can go on and on without end which the Bible clearly says to avoid. To end the issue once and for all, one is saved by GRACE and not by works. It is not the length of one's hair, but it is the gift of God, PERIOD! Thank God for his GRACE! Amen.
