News reports now show that Michael Jackson, who died at the age of 50 in the presence of his own physician, may have died at least in part due to Jackson’s use of prescription drugs and what a news source said was an injection with the narcotic painkiller Demerol shortly before he went into cardiac arrest.

The Coroner’s office has said that since there was no outward signs of trauma to Jackson’s body or evidence of foul play, we would have to wait for the results of the toxicology tests and other studies to establish a cause of death.

 Fox News is reporting that ”a picture of the singer’s tortured lifestyle is emerging, one populated by prescription drugs, sycophants, plastic surgery, lavish spending, and an ever-failing quest to recapture the fame of his ‘Thriller’ days of the early 1980s.”

Fox says an unnamed source (means not credible until corroborated or is later named and has signs of authenticity) who spent time traveling with the Mr. Jackson on and off for decades, seeing Jackson regularly until shortly before his death, said that even as long ago as the early 1990s, Jackson was traveling with a personal physician.

“There was a doctor with Michael at all times,” the source said in an exclusive interview. “He traveled with a doctor. Michael got injections of drugs daily.”

The un-named person said about Jackson’s massive debt, which is estimated to be a staggering and astounding $400 million at the time of his death; “Michael was always trying to find himself. He never really knew who he was. He burned through money like I have never witnessed before. He could spend a fortune in an hour, and a mega fortune in a day.”

 

Yahoo!News is reporting that “Spiritual teacher” and medical doctor Deepak Chopra says he’d been concerned since 2005 that Jackson was abusing prescription painkillers, suspecting drup use six months ago. 

In an interview on Saturday, Chopra told The AP that Jackson had asked him for painkillers in 2005 when he was staying with him after his trial on sex abuse allegations was over. He also said the nanny of Jackson’s children had repeatedly contacted him with concerns about Mr. Jackson’s drug use, continuing over the next four years. 

He also said she told him a number of doctors would visit Jackson’s homes in Santa Barbara County, Los Angeles, Miami and New York. 

Starpulse.com is reporting that Liza Minnelli is convinced Michael Jackson’s autopsy will reveal the pop star was killed by prescription drugs, even though Jackson had passed a medical test permitting him to take part in his comeback tour, just weeks before his death.

The site says “A number of friends have come forward to claim Jackson was ‘enabled’ by doctors who had provided him with strong prescription drugs.”

 

Minnelli, in an terview says, “I’m sure that now the accolades are gone and when the autopsy has come, all hell will break loose – so thank God we’re celebrating him now.”

And finally, the Telegraph.co.uk is reporting that the Jackson family lawyer, longtime friend Brian Oxman, is blaming the singer’s death on ”enablers” in Michael’s entourage for making the drug situation worse.

The family believed that Michael’s reliance on painkillers had become “extensive.”

“This is a case of abuse of medications,” Mr Oxman said. “This is not something which had been unexpected. Because of the medication that Michael was taking, his family had been trying for months and months and months to take care of Michael Jackson.

“The people who have surrounded him have been enabling him. If you think the case of Anna Nicole Smith was an abuse, it was nothing in comparison to what we have seen taking place in Michael Jackson’s life.”
