Obama’s Race Speech Was Profound, But Were They ‘Just Words?’

I will say right off the bat that I was a wicked sinner. But, I am no longer trying to be one that “soweth to his flesh” which “shall of the flesh reap corruption.” I am instead trying to be one that “soweth to the Spirit” so that I “shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”
Barack Obama’s race speech had much truth in it. But, what does Obama really believe about human beings, apart from lofty, political speeches made of necessity by political fallout due to a long association with what many consider to be a hate-filled ex-pastor of his church?
When Obama was serving in the Illinois Senate, the Born Alive Infants bill came up three successive years.
Mr. Obama voted “present,” which is effectively the same as a “no” vote. He argued that defining “a pre-viable fetus” that survived an abortion as a “person” or “child” somehow “would essentially bar abortions, because the Equal Protection Clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this is a child, then this would be an anti-abortion statute.”
In 2001, Republican Sen. Rick Santorum offered the federal version of the Born Alive Infants bill as an amendment.
“(H)is amendment certainly does not attack Roe in any way,” said Boxer. “His amendment makes it very clear that nothing in this amendment gives any rights that are not yet afforded to a fetus. Therefore, I, as being a pro-choice senator on this side, representing my colleagues here, have no problem whatsoever with this amendment.”
It passed the Senate 98-0.
Here is a protracted quote from the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson:
“I began to counsel young and older women as well. Many of the women I spoke to were having or have had at least one abortion. During the counseling sessions, I discovered that most of these women had guilt and low self-esteem. Often they had considered suicide.
“I realized that this problem was not being dealt with by the black clergy or black politicians. In fact, to my surprise, abortion was often actually encouraged by these ‘leaders.’
“Abortion was first popularized by Margaret Sanger, a white woman who was the founder of the National Birth Control League (now Planned Parenthood). Sanger was a lifelong champion of birth control and eugenics (the movement devoted to “improving” the human species by control of hereditary factors in reproduction).
“Margaret Sanger called for the sterilization of ‘genetically inferior races.’ In 1939, she organized her ‘Negro Project’ and wrote: ‘The poorer areas, particularly in the South … are producing alarmingly more than their share of future generations.’
“Sanger’s plan has worked extraordinarily well over time – today numerous black religious leaders defend the ‘right’ of women to kill their unborn children. It’s ironic to me that black leaders complain about racism, yet they promote one of the most racist practices in this country – abortion.
“Abortion propagandists have dehumanized the unborn baby just as was done with the Jews in the Holocaust. In his book ‘Abortion Practice,’ Warren Hern, M.D. compares the unborn child to a ‘parasite,’ which was the exact word Hitler used to dehumanize Jewish people in his infamous ‘Mein Kampf.’
“The alarming numbers on abortion: Since 1973, when abortion became legal there have been more than 14 million black babies killed in the black woman’s womb;
Since 1973, more than twice as many blacks have died from abortion than from heart disease, cancer, accidents, violent crimes and AIDS combined;
More than 1, 450 black children are aborted each day in the United States.

They actually have much in common with the abortionists: Abortionists are simply using blacks for power and wealth, the same way much of the black clergy, black politicians and liberal elite whites have used blacks for years.”
More statistics.
Since 1973, abortion has reduced the black population by over 25 percent.
Planned Parenthood operates the nation’s largest chain of abortion clinics and almost 80 percent of its facilities are located in minority neighborhoods.
About 13 percent of American women are black, but they account for more than 35 percent of the abortions.
In America today, almost as many black children are aborted as are born.
A black baby is three times more likely to be aborted than a white baby.

In 2003, as chairman of the Senate committee that received the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, Obama prevented it from even getting a hearing.
In 1997, Obama voted against (i.e. ‘present’) an Illinois partial birth abortion ban.

Twice, Obama voted against bills prohibiting tax funding of abortions.

How can a man lead us who hasn’t been a leader for us before the race speech? How can he lead blacks when he pushes for murder of the most innocent among them? How can he lead us when he has no pity on those that need pity the most? How can he say he has the love of God in him when he advocates murder of children, whom God has sent?
There are many who believe in “Jesus,” but there is only ONE Jesus who lives in human beings. He knows who He is, and those who actually trust in Him - and also those who use His Name to further their sin.

Does anyone actually believe that Jesus Christ would murder an innocent baby that God has sent? If so, then who would have killed Jesus in Mary’s womb? Would God have sent a human to do it, or would Satan have tempted someone to do it?

Notice how Obama didn’t want to call a human being after birth a “person?” Does that mean Jesus wasn’t a “person” while in the womb, or right after His birth?

How can a person who has the love of God in them hate children? Everone one of us used to be an unborn child! Even Jesus Christ!

Barack Obama is a FRAUD who hates his brother! He is helping to commit GENOCIDE against unborn human beings whom God has made in His image. Barack Obama has no compassion, no mercy, no love and no pity on the most innocent and defenseless ones among us. And he wants to lead us?

Wow!! I didn’t know that Planned Parenthood was originally called the “National Birth Control League”, nor about “Margaret Sanger”. You have such an interesting take on things, Denny, and you wrote this one really well. One of these days I hope to get around to writing more on this subject.
For now, I just want to say that those of you who have had an abortion and feel really bad about it, there is forgiveness. So often women are pressured into Abortion and greatly regret it later. Others are not given all the facts and feel really bad later when they realize what they have done. God offers forgiveness and there is even help available to those who are experiencing the symptoms of “Post Abortion Syndrome”.
Yes, this is a real Syndrome. So often the women who have these abortions are just as much the victims as their babies, so I want you to know that just because Christians are quite angry Politically, we are not angry at you.
All you guys sound as angry as Reverend Wright. Barack Obama is trying build a bridge of understanding between parties who are both angry. He is trying to heal this wound
Since Barack Obama has been called the most liberal of the liberals, I don’t see how he can build a bridge with conservatives. Perhaps he would like to build a bridge between Blacks and Whites. I don’t know.
The fact that things such as Abortion are not better understood than they are does annoy me some. If only we could talk face to face, you would see my body language and realize that I am actually quite calm right now. Anger is common, though, and is the thing that causes people to avoid hearing positions on things that are different from what they are used to hearing.
For example, few people seem to realize that Abortion does not only hurt babies. It also hurts women. Here are a few of the symptoms of POST ABORTION SYNDROME; Guilt, Anxiety, Psychological “Numbing”, Depression, Anniversary Syndrome (Sadness on the Anniversary of the Abortion and/or the due date of the Baby), Re-occuring thoughts of the Abortion, Preoccupation with becoming pregnant again, Anxiety over Fertility and Childbearing Issues, Avoidance of situations that involve babies, Interruption of the bonding process with present and/or future children, Survival Guilt, Eating Disorders, Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Self-Punishing or Self-Degrading Behaviors, Suicidal Thoughts and in some cases even Nightmares and Flash Backs, just as in POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER.
Women are lied to and told that what they are killing is nothing more than a “cluster of cells” and that the operation is no big deal. Sometimes when the woman/girl realizes later more precisely what this “Clutter of Cells” actually is, she feels considerable guilt and remorse.
In many states, the women/girls are not told about possible medical complications and risks, like is required for most operations and the possibility of POST ABORTION SYNDROME is never mentioned. They are led to believe that once the operation is over, they can simply go on with their lives as if nothing happened, yet it is quite common for women who have had abortions to not only feel guilt, but even a sense of loss over the thing (baby) that was growing inside of them for a time.
Forgive me if I occasionally allow myself to feel angry over this deception.
Ok. You know what? Maybe the way Blacks have been treated in the past is something worthy of anger as well, but that was such a long time ago. There needs to be forgiveness. We need to start from where we are now and move on.

I believe that Barack Obama is a political fraud. He has NOT shown leadership in the erea of race reconciliation either in the Illinious State Senate or in the United States Senate. The ONLY reason, in my opinion, he gave a speech about race is because he was being POLITICALLY damaged by his mentor, friend and ex-pastor Jeremiah Wright.
BTW, why didn’t Obama mention the Democratic party as being the #1 reason why race relations have suffered through the CENTURIES in America? It is akin, in my opinion, to giving a speech about the Republican party and leaving out ALL references to it’s struggle AGAINST the Democratic party and it’s evils against black people.
Which party started the KKK and the Jim Crow era? The Democratic party. Which party had a man named Robert Byrd FILIBUSTERING the Civil Rights Act of 1965? The Democratic party. Which party FOUGHT against Americans who wanted blacks freed from slavery? The Democratic party. Which party was formed EXPRESSLY to oppose the Democrat party on the issue of slavery? The Republican party.

Which party caused the destruction of the black family unit after the 1965 Civil Rights Act passed by hooking blacks on government programs? The Democratic party. Which party has enabled over 283,000 loans to small business (30% of which went to minority businesses) totalling $63 billion in five years, almost as much as was spend in the previous 40 years? Which Party freed 3.8 million blacks from the tax rolls? The Republican party. Which party started the funding of the first African American museum and culture center? The Republican party. Which party had the very first and second black Secretaries of State, and the first black National Security Advisor? The Republican party. Which party spent three times ($15 billion) more on AIDS in Africa and the Caribbean than had been previously spent? The Republican party.
And finally, which party continues to pit blacks Americans against white Americans for disgusting political gain? The Democratic party.

BTW, why doesn’t the Reparations Movement go after the organization MOST RESPONSIBLE for the TORTURE, MURDER, TERRORIZING and egregious OPPRESION of black Americans? WHy don’t they sue the Democratic party? I believe that it is the same reasom why Barack Obama left out the history of the Democratic party when he made he race speech; They are FRAUDS!

I’m such a beginner. As I keep saying, I’m a slow reader and I’m a little afraid of getting caught up in more blogging activity than I can handle. The internet can be addicting at times because the links keep going on and on and on. I’ve been trying to use some restraint and in some ways your blog has become my comfort zone because I’ve learned how it works, I’m used to it and what you write is informative and interesting.
One encouraging thing that I’m realizing is that not all bloggers are long winded and some may be easier to keep up with than others. Some also have easier paths to the pages further back in their blog. The Faith and Freedom Blog, for example, has the titles of 10 posts listed in the “Previous Posts” column on the right and all I have to do is click on the bottom one and 10 more titles appear. If I click on the bottom one again, 10 more titles appear and here I am looking at the title of the 30th entry back in the blog just from two clicks and not hardly ever using the scroll bar. What is so cool about this is that I don’t have to “keep up” with this guy. With so many previous titles to choose from, I can just read what interests me and than move on to another blog.

I could do shorter posts, but their isn’t much information to be gathered in short posts. Many blogs have short posts. I want my readers to have more information than most blogs are willing to offer.
When you want to take virtually any text and put it into a comment box, you just simply use the left click on your mouse pad to highlight it, then release the left click. Then, take your mouse and hold down left click onto the already highlighted text and simply move it over and drop (let go of the left click) the text exactly where you want it in the comment box.

I think that different blogs have different audiences. Your TARGET AUDIENCE appears to be people who both blog and read a lot, are used to the incredibly fast pace of the internet and need something very unique and different in order to keep their interest. That’s Ok. Maybe that’s the most prominent personality type out there. Whatever.
