President Bush endorsed Republican nominee-in-waiting John McCain on Wednesday, one day after McCain locked up the GOP nomination by winning enough delegates in Ohio, Vermont, Rhode Island and Texas to put him over the 1,191 needed to clinch it.

Arizona Senator John McCain clinched the Republican presidential nomination Tuesday by winning all four contests, which put him over the 1191 delegates he needed.
